In a medium bowl, whisk together plant-based milk, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper until there are no lumps.
Fill one bowl with all-purpose flour, one with the milk batter and one with Italian breadcrumbs.
Dip each cube into bowl as followed milk batter, flour, milk batter, breadcrumbs.
Once all the cubes are coated, heat up at least 2 inch of oil in a large deep pot to 375ºF.
Use a wire basket to deep fry the cubes, 45 seconds for each batch until golden brown.
