how to make

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together plant-based milk, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper until there are no lumps.
  • Fill one bowl with all-purpose flour, one with the milk batter and one with Italian breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each cube into bowl as followed milk batter, flour, milk batter, breadcrumbs.
  • Once all the cubes are coated, heat up at least 2 inch of oil in a large deep pot to 375ºF.
  • Use a wire basket to deep fry the cubes, 45 seconds for each batch until golden brown.

finishing touches

  • Let the cubes cool for 2 minutes on paper towels
  • Heat up marinara.
  • Serve and enjoy.
